Spanish Tile Roof Replacement in Metuchen, NJ

After we removed all the existing spanish tile on the front lower porch, we came across all types of rotted wood decking and rafters. We rebuilt new rafters, using all pressure treated material, new plywood decking and 2 layers of ice and water shield because of the long expected life of the new spanish tile roof.

All the corner edges of the tiles are cut with a special wet saw and when the final tile ridge caps are installed, they must be set in wet concrete.

Normally, you can expect approximately 80 to 90 years from the new tile roof it is installed on a good pitch as the upper portion of the house. However, this front porch with its lower slope will only last 60 to 70 years.
